R.O.X. Bike for a Cause
The R.O.X. Bike Fair from July to August 2016 proved to be another hit with its bike-related activities to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle, discounts, and promos. The bike fair, now on its fifth year, staged various events nationwide such as “Bike Out” in Laguna (Santa Rosa), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao; and a donation drive, where store customers were encouraged to donate cycling gear to Bikes for the Philippines, a non-profit organization focused on helping underprivileged students reach school more easily.
The culmination of this year’s fair, was “R.O.X. Bike for a Cause 2016,” a charity cycling event organized for the benefit of the students of Concepcion Integrated School in San Simon, Pampanga. More than 500 cyclists braved the rain to take on the 30-kilometer and 50-kilometer routes of the event, and displayed their sincerity and enthusiasm to support the cause.
“R.O.X. Bike for a Cause” received full support from the Clark Development Corp. represented by its OIC/President Mr. Noel F. Manankil, Tourism Promotions Division Manager Noemi B. Garcia, and Bikes for the Philippines founder Mr. Joel Uichico. The head of Concepcion Integrated School, Adoracion C. Simbulan, along with teachers and students from the school were present for the turnover of the bikes and bike racks, which were bought from a portion of the event participants’ registration fees.
For your dose of outdoor fun, R.O.X. stores are located in Bonifacio High Street, Marquee Mall in Pampanga, Camp John Hay in Baguio, Ayala Center Cebu, Ayala Center Cagayan De Oro, Nuvali, and the District North Point in Bacolod.
